Στο τελευταίο αγγλικό EVO (No 156), η ΒMW καλεί τον γνωστό σε όλους μας τρελαμένο Chris Harris να οδηγήσει στο κέντρο δοκιμών Arjeplog στη Σουηδία ένα pre-production F10M M5 με καμουφλάζ.
Τελικά καταλήγει:
"So, to summarize: according to E60 M5 owners, their cars lacked range, a decent Auto setting and torque. The F10M M5 redresses all of those issues, loses some of the V10's raw character and - in being less frenzied than the last version - looks like being a spiritual successor to the great E39 M5. If that doesn't get your juices flowing, nothing will."
Επίσης ο Harris αναφέρει στο κείμενο πως ο ήχος του αυτοκινήτου είναι απογοητευτικός αν και τον διαβεβαίωσαν πως δουλεύουν ακόμη στον τομέα αυτό!
