do we have any idea what the intake temperatures are on these runs or the conditions?

I can make an airbox car with alphaN run much worse than stock on my dyno also by not allowing the intake temperature to go down to ambient levels.

It is clear ignition timing is being retarded from the shape of the power curve. It is only retarded for the following reasons:

1) Too high coolant temperature
2) Too high intake temperature
Explanation of above:
There is a table in the DME which retards timing if the coolant and/or intake temp rises. If the intake temperature goes over 30degC it starts retarding quite heavily. Go over 40-50degC and it takes away 11 degrees! Then the car will have zero power.

3) Fuel bad (but you have 97 octane so should not be the case)
4) Too much knocking going on but again the shape would not be like this, it would be natural but just lower everywhere.

I have dealt with hundreds of cases on the dyno especially in the USA. The biggest problem with airboxes is the intake temperature on the dyno.

The calibration I have made is proven and works 100% every time because it has engineering to back it up which is logical.

Last question - how many runs were done?
