I agree with Chris, the RS understeers,
The RS has dual nature, it feels like an ordinary fwd car at medium throttle slow speed corners and for high speed high angle corners it feels like a RWD car,
One thing I ve noticed is the RS dosent have astable back end, its constantly moving,its not as confidence inspiring as Audi TT S,Golf R,
But if one is brave with throttle its simply a fun machine,wont care much about speed but will do mild oversteer at every corner if one wants.
The Focus RS has some issues
1. Weight its 1599 kg ie too heavy for a small wheelbase,machine with not much wide front end.
2. Its gearbox is slow for the power and torque it has,
3. Engine feels more like 300 hp rather than 345 post 100 mph
Focus RS is not perfect,its not as good as Megane RS and Type R and Leon Cupra 280 at corners,basically beause of its heft,but on the flip side, a 1600 kg car hanging on to these low power to weight fwd hot hatchws with a slower gearbox and an average engine says a lot about its chassis and its future if it gets slimmed down.
The RS500 could be worlds besr hot hatch,if the 1599 kg RS is this good,
