Only a Ferrari test mule could manage to look seductive wearing a puffy winter jacket, and one with porthole windows no less. The successor to the Ferrari 599 GTB has been spotted wearing some outlandish camouflage to keep prying eyes away. Known internally under the codename F152, this next generation Ferrari super coupe will likely be badged the F620 when it goes on sale late next year. The proportions appear similar to the long-hood and short-deck design of the current car. Slimmer headlights, revised taillights and a more aggressive front and rear fascia are likely for production models.
A Minimum of 700 Horsepower
You might have noticed that FerrariΆs cross-town rival, the new Lamborghini Aventador, has a 6.5-liter V-12 pumping out an even 700-bhp. You can bet Ferrari has caught a glimpse of the LamboΆs spec sheet too. Expect the 6.3-liter V-12 in the Ferrari F620 to at least match its rival in terms of raw horsepower output. Our guess is that Ferrari might even try to raise the bar by a few (prancing) ponies. Power will be delivered to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with a F1 style electronic differential.
Performance will be scintilutf8g, especially when you consider the 599 GTO, currently the most powerful model with 661 bhp, already has a top speed of 208 mph. Look for FerrariΆs engineering team to trim weight from the chassis and body, to give the F620 razor-sharp reflexes to match its awesome powertrain. A hybrid could even work its way into the lineup at some point. Ferrari already offered us a teaser with its green-themed (and green-colored) 599 Hybrid during the 2010 Geneva Auto Show.
