    Smile 1975 Porsche 911S

    The 911 'S' was Porsche's top of the range sporting model throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, a period when the purest and most desirable versions of the great 911 were produced. Initially available in 2 litre guise from July 1966, it boasted a higher fifth gear, anti-roll bars front and rear, Koni shock absorbers and ventilated disc brakes, later also receiving alloy front brake calipers.

    In 1969 all 911 models had their engine capacity increased to 2.2 litres, whilst the final improvement came in 1971 when it was further raised to 2.4 litres. By now the 911 'S', featuring mechanical fuel injection, developed a healthy l90bhp (just 20bhp less than the legendary Carrera RS) giving it excellent performance: 0-60mph in just 6 seconds and a maximum of 145mph (1972 Car & Driver road test figures) were more than adequate to dispense with Ferrari Dinos! Naturally the 911 'S' found its way into competition and was successful in its class in all the major events, including Le Mans, the Targa Flono and the Tour de France.

    This later 1975 Model of the Legendary 911S is offered at a fraction of the price of its pre-impact bumper brother. One of only 900 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Porsche this delightful matching numbers example is offered from a well regarded Greek collection.

    The 1750 Berlina made its debut in 1968 and at the same time a new improved engine was placed in the coupe leading to the arrival of the 1750GTV.
    The new 1779cc 118bhp engine and the 1750 GTV coupe also received extra headlights, 30mm of extra length between the axles and a variety of smaller changes to the bodywork.

    The 1750 was also destined for racing events, but given that the rules allowed up to 2000cc the engines were enlarged to 1985cc and a fuel injection system was added. This version became known as the 1750 GTAm, for 'magiorata' or 'extended.' There were only 40 produced between 1970 and 1971, but this was enough to ensure a number of important victories, including the European Touring Car Championship in 1970. Likewise, in 1971, when the new 2000 Berlina was introduced with a 1962cc 132bhp engine, it was again placed in the coupe version, giving birth to the 2000GTV, which was produced alongside the 1300 and 1750 versions.
    There were minimal changes made to the exterior and interior of the car. Several models of the 2000GTV were built with a differential block. The GTAm was renamed the 2000GTAm to show that it was a newer model.

    The Alfa Romeo GT Veloce 2000 on offer today has a 2000cc 136hp 4 cylinder engine, an electric sunroof and a five speed gearbox. The car is finished in dark blue, with contrasting light blue leather interior and grey carpets. It has been in the Phaeton Museums collection for the past 12 years, under going restoration upon its arrival, with a new engine being fitted, and is now described as being in excellent condition throughout.

    Η συγκεκριμένη 2000 GTV βαμμένη σε μπλέ χρώμα αποτέλεσε μέρος της συλλογής του τεχνολογικού μουσείου ΦΑΕΘΟΝ τα τελευταία 12 χρόνια. Διαθέτει ηλεκτρική μεταλική οροφή που έχει τοποθετηθεί έξυπνα στο αμάξωμα ενώ ανακατασκευάστηκε πλήρως κατα την περίοδο της κατοχής του απο το μουσείο με καινούριο κινητήρα ενώ περιγράφεται απο τον κάτοχο της σε άριστη γενική κατάσταση.
