From there you can see how the mirror swiver/spring thing does its job. I had to drill mine out and replace the spring and more. I promise that they aren't meant to be serviced. The spring inside is captured by a pressed piece which I had to drill out so I could access the broken part of the casting. Let me know if I can help. I have a small machine shop in my basement.
