This particular ultimate series CSL was finished on April 26th 1975, delivered a few days later on June 5th to BMW dealer, Mulfinger in Dortmund, Germany. This is confirmed by a BMW Group Classic certificate which is on file. The BMW factory correspondence also confirming that the car was delivered new in Polaris silver. Currently still on German papers, with the original logbook available the car has had a mere four owners in 35 years. It was treated by the previous owner to a restoration to excellent level and retaining the original specification at a cost of DM 40,747.25, Presented today on the period optional Alpina wheels and with the desirable 5 speed Gertrag 'dogleg' gearbox fitted, all the aerodynamic appendices are original BMW parts. Accompanying literature include the very rare CSL manual. Little used in recent years with 36,465 kms recorded in 1990, 41,251 kms in 1997 and 42,499 kms today, the 'Batmobile' is ready to be enjoyed by a new custodian.
