Bonham’s Power by BMW sale to be held in Munich in October has a range of treasures on its fleet. Adding glitz and tradition is a rare 1958 BMW Abbate V8 speedboat estimated to get between $285,100 and $448,000. It was built by racing driver and engineer Helm Gloeckler who introduced the idea of using a BMW engine for a speedboat and tied up with Giulio Abbate, renowned Italian boat building personality. The boat is a stunning concoction of brilliant Italian styles and German motor technology.
