some joke. The new X6-M just lapped the Nuremburgring as fast as the M3.
Your opinion about the Maintenance Intervals from BMW is 180 degrees wrong. The intervals all doubled or went away when BMW began giving customers "free" maintenance. You must remember, however, that BMW is ONLY interested in ensuring you get through your warranty period with a minimum of trouble. They are NOT concerned with the long-term reliability of your car...and most of these maintenance intervals will produce major issues in the long term, not the short term. Why do you think EVERY technical writer and engineer now NEVER recommend buying a used BMW with an automatic transmission? It's because of the 'lifetime fill' nonsense from BMW. The automatic transmissions basically NEVER need maintenance, according to BMW. Does the fluid last a "lifetime"...sure! When the component breaks, it's lifetime is over, naturally. When they start giving me a lifetime warranty on those parts, I'll start believing in lifetime fills.
