Είναι το πρώτο έγχρωμο κινηματογραφικό υλικό που έχει βρεθεί και παρουσιάζει τη Νέα Υόρκη.
Το βίντεο καταγράφει σκηνές από την καθημερινότητα της πόλης όπως την κατέγραψε ένας Γάλλος τουρίστας το 1939.
Ο Ζαν Βιβιέ, κατέγραψε με την καμερά του, μια Kodachrome 16mm, σκηνές από τις γειτονιές του Χάρλεμ και της Τσάινατάουν.
Η ποιότητα του φίλμ είναι τόσο καλή που θα μπορούσε να έχει γυριστεί αρκετές δεκαετίες αργότερα ή να αποτελεί μέρος κινηματογραφικής ταινίας.
